Andrew Beef Johnston admitted he enjoyed the mad atmosphere when watching the Ryder Cup and said he would love to have been involved in it. The actions of a small minority of the partisan American support were criticised by the likes of Rory McIlroy and Danny Willett after Europe lost 17-11 to the United States at Hazeltine. However, Johnston said he can understand why the crowd get so worked up when backing their team. It looked mad. It looked mad, Johnston told Sky Sports News HQ. But my theory on it is sometimes when you are watching golf and you have your favourites and theres 150 in the field, you want the best guys like your favourites to do well. Spectators flocked to the first tee at Hazeltine But when you go into Ryder Cup it is team and it becomes more passionate when its a team. In football you get it, in cricket you get it and stuff like that, and obviously, you dont want it going too far - people being rude and out of order - but you want that [passion].I kind of enjoy it when they are cheering when one of the balls is maybe rolling off the green and stuff like that. It just gives it something completely different, but there is a fine line for it. Patrick Reed and Rory McIlroy went toe to toe on Sunday I love that kind of atmosphere and I thought what Rory [McIlroy] and Patrick Reed did on those first eight holes [on Sunday] was ridiculous. I was buzzing for it, let alone being in the crowd there. They must have been going absolutely crackers with the performance they both put on.But I did have sympathy. Its difficult, but its one of those things and Im sure the boys will bounce back, man. They are great players and I just think it is one of those things. His strong start made it a rough night for the New York Rangers.Rask made 30 saves for his second shutout, Patrice Bergeron scored a first-period goal, and the Bruins won their fifth straight by beating the Rangers 3-0 on Thursday night.Yeah, you get a couple of tough chances early on and it gets you in the game, Rask said. The past couple of games weve been doing a good job of closing in on their point shots and not giving those opportunities. That helps me when I see the puck and get those clear looks.Last seasons Vezina Trophy winner was sharp and so were his teammates. He was really good for us tonight, coach Claude Julien said. This team has a lot of speed — the Rangers — and we acknowledged that before the game. They displayed that, at times, when there was the odd breakdown and when they had a chance to score, Tuukka was up to the task. Without a doubt in my mind he was the best player. The Rangers have lost 3-0 in consecutive games after winning five straight and 13 of 14.I think anytime it goes two games, no matter what the score might be, I think we ought to get back to the basic, back to simple hockey, the way we were playing when we were winning, Rangers forward Rick Nash said.David Krejci and Loui Eriksson also scored for Boston, which has earned points in nine consecutive games (6-0-3). Torey Krug added two assists. It was Rasks 25th NHL shutout.Cam Talbot made 29 saves for the Rangers, with top goalie Henrik Lundqvist getting the night off. No, were trying to win games.ddddddddddddWere playing some tough teams in tough buildings and were going to bite, scratch, claw, whatever trying to get some wins here heading into the break. The Bruins have earned at least a point in their last eight games against New York (6-0-2).With Boston leading 1-0, Krejci redirected defenceman Krugs pass behind Talbot 2:49 into the second period. Defenceman Dougie Hamilton fired a shot from the left point, and Talbot mishandled the rebound before Bergeron slipped the puck between his pads. The Bruins owned a 13-7 edge in shots after one period, but the Rangers had much better chances.I thought Tuukka played unbelievable, Boston centre Chris Kelly said. He was our best player tonight and he has been for a while and thats good to see.Rask made a pair of stellar stops about two minutes apart after Bergerons goal. The first came when former Boston College star Chris Kreider broke in alone down the left wing, cut in front, but was robbed by Rasks left pad.On the second bid, Lee Stempniak took a pass and broke in alone, but Rask dropped to make a pad save.
