The New York Islanders appear to have a done deal in regards to new ownership. According to Arthur Staple of Newsday the clubs sale to Jonathan Ledecky and Scott Malkin has been finalized. A press conference is expected on Wednesday. The sale was approved by the NHL Board of Governors on Sept. 30 and will see the pair purchase a minority stake in the team that is expected to transition to a majority interest in two years.
